You do not need to arrive knowing how to pose, where to photograph, what backdrop to choose or exactly what the photographs should look like. That is part of what you are hiring us to help you solve.
Every session begins with conversation. We learn what you are celebrating, what matters to you, how you want to be seen and what you ultimately want these photographs to become. From there, we help shape the creative direction — wardrobe, colour, lighting, mood, posing, the images we know we need to create and the environment that best supports them. Standard studio space is part of the experience — we select and coordinate it for you.
By the time you step in front of the camera, very little is being left to chance.
You simply arrive ready to be photographed. We take care of the direction.

No two portrait sessions need exactly the same thing.
Rather than asking you to choose a session simply by the number of hours, we build the experience around what you want to create — the people involved, the number and complexity of looks, the setting, the creative direction and the finished photographs you want to walk away with.
Every portrait commission includes the creative planning and guided photography experience that defines F10 Portraits.
Your proposal will clearly outline the collection options available for your particular session before you are asked to book.
Standard studio space is included in the portrait experience. If your creative direction calls for a specialty venue, permit, premium rental space or additional third-party service, we’ll discuss those options with you during planning before anything is reserved.
I’m Michael Fayehun, founder and lead photographer of F10 Studio and a Nikon Ambassador, working between Toronto, New York and wherever the right commission takes me.
I photograph people because portraits become more valuable with time. A photograph made for a birthday, engagement, pregnancy or family today eventually becomes evidence of who you were, who was beside you and what this chapter looked like.
My role isn’t simply to meet you with a camera. I help shape the session before we photograph it, give you clear direction while we’re creating, and pay attention to the details that make the final images feel personal rather than produced from a formula.
You don’t need to know how to be photographed. That’s my job.Plan a session with Michael →
